Day 01: Arrival Mumbai
Arrival in Mumbai before or after midnight. You will be met and transferred
to a small hotel near the airport. Overnight hotel.
Day 02: Mumbai-Diu or Rajkot-Gir National Park
Meals: dinner
Transfer to the airport in the morning to fly to Diu or Rajkot. You will
be met and transferred to Gir National Park (2 hours from Diu & 3½
from Rajkot). Afternoon safari into the park for lion tracking (time permitting!).
Overnight stay in Gir Birding Lodge.
Gir National Park & Wildlife Sanctuary is a 1412 sq km tract of dry
deciduous forests, acacia scrub, evergreen and semi-evergreen flora and
grasslands, fed by rivers and streams. Among the many water-bodies in the
reserve is the Kamleshwar Dam, known for its birdlife and for its large
crocodile population.
This reserve is the last abode of the Asiatic lion and is also known for
its leopard population. Other mammals of Gir are sambar (India's largest
deer), chital (spotted deer), chousingha (the world's only four-horned antelope),
nilgai (bluebull antelope), chinkara (Indian gazelle), wild boar, langur,
jackal, jungle cat, rusty-spotted cat, striped hyena and black-naped hare.
Day 03 & 04: Gir National Park
Meals: breakfast, lunch & dinner
Morning & afternoon safari into the park for lion tracking and animal
viewing. Overnight stay in Gir Birding Lodge.
Day 05: Gir National Park-Little Rann of Kutch
Meals: breakfast, packed lunch, dinner
Drive in the morning to the Little Rann of Kutch (7 hours). Afternoon drive
into the dry plains of Rann to see the onager (Asiatic Wild Ass). Overnight
stay in Rann Riders.
The sanctuary is known for its herds of the handsome chestnut brown Asiatic wild ass, which is the last of India's wild horse family, does not survive elsewhere in Indian lowlands, but also supports a thriving population of gazelle, blue bull, wolf, and Indian foxes, jackal, jungle cat, hare and birds from the houbara bustard, spotted & Indian sandgrouse, francolin partridge, bustard quails, desert wheatear, desert , larks, steppe eagle, imperial eagle, short toed eagle, 5 of vulture, laggar falcon etc to flamingoes, pelicans, ducks,cranes and storks .
Day 06: Little Rann of Kutch-Ahmedabad-Mumbai
Meals: breakfast, lunch
Morning visit the the Rann again for wildlife viewing. You will be transferred
to Ahmedabad (2 hour) to connect flight to Mumbai. You will be met and transferred
to a small hotel near the airport. Overnight hotel.
Day 07: Mumbai-Nagpur-Kanha National Park
Meals: lunch, dinner
Transfer to the airport in the morning to fly to Nagpur / Jabalpur. You
will be met & transferred to Kanha National Park (4½ hours).
Afternoon safari into the park for tiger tracking (time permitting!). Krishna
Jungle Resort.
Kanha National Park spreads over 1,945 sq. km of dense sal forests, interspersed with extensive meadows and trees and clumps of wild bamboo. This is where you can spot the tiger in all his magnificence or feast your eyes on the rare Barasingha (Swamp deer) amidst extensive grasslands. The park is also good for Indian bison. The park forms the core of the Kanha Tiger Reserve created in 1974, under Project Tiger. It is one of the most well-maintained National Parks in Asia, and a major attraction for avid wildlife buffs all over the world. Two major rivers, Halon and Banjar, flow through the park. The sal forests of Kanha are interspersed with extensive meadows and trees and clumps of wild bamboo. This area known as Kipling Country is where the jungle book of Rudyard Kipling was conceived.
Day 08 & 09: Kanha National Park
Meals: breakfast, lunch & dinner
Morning & afternoon safari into the park for tiger-tracking and animal
viewing. Overnight stay in Krishna Jungle Resort.
Day 10: Kanha National Park-Agra
Meals: breakfast
Morning drive in the park. You will be transferred to Jabalpur station (3½
hour) to connect train at 1540 hours. Overnight in air-conditioned sleeper
class train.
Day 11: Agra-Corbett National Park
Meals: on own
Arrive Agra at 0740 hours. You will be met and transferred to National Chambal
Sanctuary (1½ hour) for a boat cruise on river Chambal to see the
Gangetic dolphin, marsh & fish-eating crocodile. Return to Agra in the
afternoon. You will be taken for a guided tour of Taj Mahal. Room in Agra
to rest in a small hotel. Dinner in a restaurant. You will be transferred
to Mathura (1 hour) to connect overnight train at 2320 hours. Overnight
in air-conditioned sleeper class train.
Day 12: Corbett National Park
Meals: lunch & dinner
Arrive Lal Kuan at 0845 hours. You will be met and transferred to Tiger
Camp (2 hours). After lunch, drive onward for Dhangarhi gate for entry to
Dhikala tourism zone. Visit the Interpretation Centre. Jeep safari through
the stately dense Sal jungle and the wildlife adventure of Corbett begins.
Jeep Safari by the lower jungle track along the Ramganga river accompanied
by an expert guide. A great opportunity for viewing wildlife, especially
the tiger in its natural habitat. Cross the river at Gethia Rao bridge for
the Kanda Range, where Jim Corbett shot the famous Kanda man-eater. Arrive
at the main tourist complex, Dhikala - check in. Relax in the serene, lingering
quietness of the park and capture the panoramic expanse on your camera.
Visit one of the best wildlife libraries of India. Dinner and overnight
stay.
Day 13: Corbett National Park
Meals: breakfast, lunch & dinner
Morning elephant safari through the open chaurs (grasslands) and dense forests
by an unconventional route. This is the best mode of transport for wildlife
viewing. Return at 0900 hr. for breakfast and then again drive by jeep to
the scenic lake area - wait a while for a chance to sight the marsh crocodile
basking in the sun. Visit the Jhirnajhali area for viewing the famous gharial
- fish eating crocodile. Lunch. Drive back to Tiger Camp, an exciting drive
through the unforgettable, sylvan beauty of the Khinanauli range offers
wildlife viewing in plenty and a chance sighting of the elusive tiger. The
drive is a safari in itself. Dinner and overnight stay in a cottage.
Day 14: Corbett National Park-Delhi
Meals: breakfast
Morning safari in the park or an excursion to the Himalayas (4 hours) to
see the snow clad peaks. Drive to Delhi (6 hr.). Room for wash and change
in a small hotel. Transfer to the airport to connect flight to return destination.
The Asiatic Rhino & Wild Buffalo
(An Extension Tour)
Day 01: Delhi-Kaziranga National Park
Meals: dinner
You will be transferred to the airport to connect flight to Guwahati. Arrive
Guwahati and transfer to Kaziranga National Park (5 hours). Overnight stay
in Wild Grass or Bon Habi.
Kaziranga is a title of a remarkable success story of conservation of the
One Horned India Rhinoceros. It is one of the significant natural habitat
for in situ conservation of biological biodiversity of universal value.
Kaziranga National Park area consists of 429.93 Sq.Km. with an additional
area of 429.40 Sq.Km. and
situated in the two districts of Assam, namely Golaghat and Nagaon. The
total area of the park within Nagaon district is 175 Sq.Km., out of which
135 Sq.Km. falls under Bagori Forest Range office and 40 Sq.Km. falls within
Ghorakati Forest Range office.
Day 02 & 03: Kaziranga National Park
Meals: breakfast, lunch & dinner
Morning and afternoon drives to the park to see the wild buffalo, Indian
rhino, tiger, leopard, swamp deer and other fauna in the park. Overnight
stay in Wild Grass or similar.
Day 04: Kaziranga National Park-Guwahati-Delhi
Meals: breakfast
You will be transferred to the airport (5 hours to Guwahati) to connect
flight to Delhi. Room for wash and change. Room for wash and change in a
small hotel. Transfer to the airport to connect flight to return destination.

Cancellation charges are 30 days before arrival date 25%, 21 days before arrival date 50%, 15 days before arrival date 90%, 7 days before arrival date 100% of the total itinerary cost.
