The sun is just up, and, Kanha Meadow shimmers. It is October. Only a few days ago, the park has reopened to the public after three months of rest. The monsoon has rejuvenated all nature. At the start of a new season, Kanha is once again a meeting place, an intersection of wildlife and humankind. The rains have renewed Kanha, and Kanha will now nourish and renew her guests. A gentle, silvery mist still wraps the great vista of the Meadow in its folds. A small party of chital saunters daintily across the road and ambles toward Partak Nallah. Last to cross is a majestic stag. Emerging from the long grass, he stands stock still for a moment, carving a silhouette against grasslands and trees, low hills and horizon and ghostlike sun. He offers an invitation.

Kanha National Park - Kipling's own country, is the setting for the famous Jungle Book. Just a short distance from the main entrance gate of the Kanha National Park (Village Khatia), The Krishna Jungle Resort provides visitors with a truly exciting and rewarding experience. The lodge nests in 6 acres of thick forest and provide an ideal setting for bird watching for a natural history oriented traveler.

Day 01 Delhi-Kanha National park
Meals: Lunch & dinner in Krishna Jungle Resort (KJR)
Arrive at Krishna lodge by noon from Jabalpur or Nagpur. After lunch, you will be taken for a safari in the core area for tiger tracking and wildlife viewing in customized 4WD safari vehicles. The duration of safari is about four hours and is conducted early morning and in the afternoon till sunset. Each safari vehicle can seat up to four persons comfortably. Besides the visitors, the vehicle has an expert driver and a talented naturalist.
Overnight stay in comfortable cottage at KJR

Day 02 Kanha National Park
Meals: Breakfast at Kanha Museum, lunch & dinner
Today you will get an early wake up call with Tea/Coffee & cookies, get ready for another Jeep safari through the stately dense Sal forest (Shorea robusta) and the wildlife adventure of Kanha begins. Jeep Safari by the lower jungle track along the Kanha Meadows accompanied by an expert guide.
You will be given an elephant ride, (subject to the tiger sightings) you return to lodge by 11 am. Take a short nap or a dip in our crystal clear swimming pool.
Get ready for the evening game drive. You return to lodge as the sun sets. Camp fire followed by dinner.

Day 03 Kanha National Park
Meals: breakfast in Kanha Museum, lunch & dinner
Same as day 02 you will get an early wake up call, get ready for the game drive. Return to the lodge by 11 am. Relax as the evening today is free, just take a book from our library and sit near pool. Evening at 4 PM we leave our lodge on foot for bird watching in buffer zone. We return to lodge before it gets dark. Time to freshen up and at 0730 PM assemble at choupal (Meeting Place) to discuss wildlife or ask any questions with our resident naturalist during campfire followed by dinner.

Day 04 Kanha National Par-Jabalpur-Delhi
Meals: breakfast
After breakfast drive to Jabalpur (165 km). Lunch at Hotel Krishna in Jabalpur (optional), later connect direct train to Delhi OR drive to Nagpur and fly to Delhi or Mumbai in the evening.

The above cost includes only:
3-nights accommodation on twin sharing basis in a cottage / room at Krishna lodge
Meals: as per the itinerary
In case of three persons, the third person will be given a single room
All jungle visits in Kanha National Park, with a guide, is exclusive of all park entrance fees & elephant ride subject to tiger sightings.

Note: To & fro transport from Jabalpur or Nagpur to Kanha National Park can be arranged at an extra cost.
